I’ve been working on something recently.
Listening to the reading of a book on an audiobook.
My eyesight was getting worse, so I started to lose interest in reading, and I began to think, “Well, let’s listen to the reading of the book.”
I use an app called Audibook, which costs 9,000 yen (750 yen per month) for a one-year contract.
I listen to about 10 or more books in a month, so I’m getting a lot of money.
It’s dangerous to read a book while walking, but you can listen to a book read aloud while walking.
Well, I don’t do it because it’s dangerous when it gets dark.
As I wrote before, I used to spend my free time fiddling with my smartphone, so my mental health was not good and my eyesight was gradually declining.
After reading the book, I no longer felt sick and became smarter lol.
And recently, I listened to a book called “Auditory stimulation makes your brain turn surprisingly fast. Remarkable by Takashi Tanaka.”
In this book, it was stated that “fast listening” improves brain power such as memory, quick wit, motivation, and judgment.
Also, the effect appears when listening at 2.7x speed or higher.
“2.7 times faster?!”
I was surprised, but…
I’ve tried speed reading by reading a book, but it didn’t go very well.
But if you listen fast, all you have to do is listen, so I thought I’d give it a try.
At first, it was difficult to hear, but after listening for 30 minutes, I was able to hear it normally, so I tried speeding it up to 2.5x next time.
I don’t really know what you’re talking about
That’s my first impression.
But after listening to this for about 15 minutes, I started to understand the content.
It’s finally time to challenge 3x speed.
I didn’t know what he was talking about, but after 30 minutes, I was able to understand what he was talking about!
You get used to it.
listening for an hour
“Huh? Someone late?”
And it’s about to see the speed display on the screen.
The effect of fast listening is to increase the speed of information processing in the frontal lobe.
This seems to make it easier to understand the content of the conversation even when talking to people, or to understand what you are trying to say.
Since the ear is directly connected to the brain, listening fast is training the brain.
Brain training includes puzzles and games, but I don’t feel like I’m being trained.
Well, it’s going to kill time, but…
It’s been a while since I’ve been working on speed reading, so I’ll let you know about the progress in the future. I was only able to listen to the book, but I think I will not lose because I will be able to listen to 30 books, which is three times that amount.
As for my experience, listening to music makes my head clearer.
It seems that YouTube can be up to 2x speed, so please try it.
